Kathleen G. McNeil is a shareholder at Garvey McNeil & Associates, where she has been practicing law since 1997. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with honors, majoring in Elementary Education and Political Science. She spent three years teaching fourth grade at Cumberland Elementary School in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, and was an active member of the Whitefish Bay Educators Association. Ms. McNeil earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in May 1997.

Ms. McNeil's primary areas of practice include employment, disability and entertainment law with a special emphasis on sports law. She has served as lead counsel since 1998 for Harlem Globetrotters International, Inc., and does a variety of other legal work, ranging from estate planning to family law.

Ms. McNeil acts as Secretary and Board Member to The Arc of Dane County, a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that by example, education, advocacy and support to all children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families are offered the same opportunities, choices, rights and respect due all people in our community. With this background, Ms. McNeil has experience working with families to establish special needs trusts, guardianship, protective placements and to represent children in need of special education services in schools.

Ms. McNeil is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Wisconsin, and she is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association, and the Dane County Bar Association.
